Grant has extensive experience in Business Development, Sales and Marketing Management, Strategic Management, Financial Management, General Management as well as an in-depth understanding of West African markets. His business and corporate experience, ranges from the Automotive Industry, Outdoor Media Industry across West Africa, as well as the global media and content syndication industry.
Grant is a passionate African and his mission is to drive an authentic African narrative to the rest of the world, by disseminating African data, which ANA acquires through strategic African media partnerships. He is responsible for all day-to-day management decisions and implementing ANA’s (and all its subsidiary companies) long and short-term plans. He serves as the direct liaison between the Board and management of ANA and communicates to the Board on behalf of the ANA management team. With Grant at the helm, ANA has grown from a South African focused content provider, to a global content syndication company.
Alumnus Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, Gary Hadfield joined the team at Loot.co.za as CEO in January 2011 and has been instrumental in transforming loot into a leading online general merchandise retailer. This following on from a highly successful period as CEO of e-commerce retailer Kalahari.com from 2005 to 2010, as well as Marketing/Commercial Head from 2000 to 2005. Kalahari.com, a Naspers Subsidiary, merged with Takealot.com in 2014.
At Naspers he served as a Director of Online World Travel 24 (Pty) Ltd t/a Gotravel24, a joint venture with Comair, and Classified business Vottle (Pty) Ltd. He was also involved in a number of due diligence exercises including that of Nasper's acquisition of Dubizzle.com, the leading UAE classifieds business. Gary is a regular attendee and participant at WEF Summer Davos (Annual Meeting of the New Champions in China) and serves on the deregulation committee of South African Chapter of the BRICS business council.
