Alan Ipp - Non-executive

Born and bred in Cape Town, Alan Ipp qualified as a chartered accountant (CA SA) in 1969. He spent several years in business before returning to the auditing profession in 1975. A pioneer in the use of computers in the auditing environment, he acted as consultant to a number of auditing firms on the introduction of computer technology in their businesses. In 1982 he was appointed managing partner of what would become the Cape Town office of the international auditing firm PKF, a position he retained until 2009 when he stepped down to take on the role of consultant to the firm.

He is a past president of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (Southern Region) and served on SAICA’s national board for several years. He was appointed to his present position in 2012
